If you're coming to NYC for Christmas/The Holidays, this is a good guide for things to do for 2016. Here's the list: 1. Godiva for hot chocolate or coffee cause "baby, it's cold outside." 2. Rockefeller Center (but avoid Top of the Rock -- too cold, too busy) for ice skating and tree selfies. 3. The Nintendo Store. Good gifts, but also a nice hideout from the cold 4. Saks Fifth Avenue -- windows and light show 5. Bryant Park's #WinterVillage - Check out the shops, more ice skating, Facebook has an installation, and it's less busy than 30 Rock. 6. Macy's! Go write Santa a letter and play on the big piano! I've lived in New York for nearly 5 years, and I still get super excited about Christmas here vs. basically anywhere else on the planet. Completed in 1883, Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. Williamsburg has become popular given its lower rent prices. University students and young professionals have been flocking to this part of town. You can walk along the riverfront for a great view of the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges and the Manhattan skyline. During the summer months, Bryant Park also becomes a popular hangout spot people looking to relax and even work on their tans. The Staten Island Ferry is free of charge and this makes it really popular with visitors who want to catch a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty from a distance. Battery Park is located on the southern tip of Manhattan. Having both lived in South Korea, we were thrilled to come across Manhattan's own Little Korea. Coney Island is all about good old fashioned fun. The Cloisters will make you feel like you've travelled over to Europe. Central Park is massive and there are so many places to visit within its boundaries. We managed to visit Belvedere Castle, the Great Lawn, Shakespeare Garden, The Ramble, The Jackie Onassis Reservoir, the Alice in Wonderland Statue, and we still left feeling like we barely scratched the surface. And that concludes a look at our very busy week in New York City. I'm still shocked we managed to cover so many attractions, but the great thing about this city is that distances aren't very long and there's always something really cool worth checking out around each corner. Have you been to New York? What are your favorite things about this city? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below. http://www.expedia.com/London.d178279.Destination-Travel-Guides A trip to London might as well be a trip through history. This city has long been a hub for finance, education, and culture, and is full of modern construction mixed with ancient buildings. Your London tour must include St. Paul’s Cathedral, one of its most well-known churches. You’ll also want to see the Tower of London, the Palace of Westminster, and Westminster Abbey for exquisite examples of the city’s famous architectural landmarks. Walk or jog through numerous green spaces, among them Hyde Park and Green Park, in the center of London. Continue your London sightseeing in the West End, where you’ll find ancient buildings converted into modern shops, restaurants, bars, and shows. You’ll find one of the largest theatre districts in the world here, and can take in a different play almost every night of the week. For a real treat, climb aboard the London Eye, a giant, rotating Ferris wheel, and see the old and new parts of the city all at once. Vacation travel video about destination New York City in New York. New York continues to be one of the world’s most famous cities, a true world metropolis and major symbol of the American Dream. Manhattan Island is the city’s most well known district and the Rockefeller Center in Midtown is often referred to as the heart of the New York. Nearby the Roman Catholic Saint Patrick´s Cathedral is the largest and most magnificent church in the United States. The Grand Central Terminal divides Park Avenue and is a huge station with which the railroad kings, the Venderbilts, left an indelible mark. The huge hall, with its magnificent vaulted ceiling in Beaux Arts style, has been the city’s central railway station for twelve lines since 1913. The confines of Chinatown are inhabited by a hundred and fifty thousand Chinese from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, most of whom are unable to speak a word of English. Chinese characters wherever one looks and restaurants and Asian stores on every street corner. The famous Wall Street was named after a wall which in the early days protected the growing city against attack by Native American Indians. However, the roots of its subsequent claim to fame were laid in 1792. The young state desperately needed investment and therefore the powers that be decided to issue bonds. Close by, on a small island, is New York’s most famous landmark, the Statue Of Liberty. The head of Lady Liberty leads to the crown from which there are stunning views from several windows. New York City is most certainly unique. A city that’s very much alive and kicking, self-confident and always a surprise! -------------- Watch more travel videos ► https://goo.gl/MXPgSs Join us. Heading to New York & Not Sure What Your Hotel Accommodations Will Be Like? Well here we give you advice and tips on some of the typical hotels you will find in New York City. 1. They are expensive so plan accordingly. There are cheap tourist things to do in New York City, but the hotel is not one of them. 2. There are high taxes on hotel rooms which makes the rooms even more expensive. 3. The rooms are usually small, so you if you are a family make sure you let them know so you will have enough room. 4. WiFi is usually free, but breakfast is not. Many hotels do not offer breakfast, but there are a lot of options in NYC for breakfast so you will be fine. 5. You will always want to use the toilet before you leave the hotel as NYC public toilets are nasty. 6. You probably should tip the cleaning staff between $2 and $5 per day. We leave a little note for them as well. 7. There are high early check in fees, but most hotels will hold your luggage for free. filmed in New York City Copyright Mark Wolters 2016 10 Things That Will SHOCK You About New York City https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMyC_PUuEok 5 Tips for Enjoying New York City https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5TZkBIYMY0 Tipping in the USA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoKL2T_48HU USA Today & 10Best's #1 Independent Travel Videographer 2014 FlipKey by TripAdvisor Top 10 Travel Bloggers 2014 Our Equipment Sony Alpha a6000 Digital Camera. New Zealand: The Ultimate Travel Guide by TourRadar gives you all the info you need to explore this nation of Kiwis. Learn some basics about the country, including what you have to do & see once you arrive, when it's best to travel and which food & drinks you definitely need to enjoy throughout your journey. ----------------------------------------------- New Zealand has a lot to offer even the most particular traveller. From the lively neighbourhoods of Wellington to the breathtaking Fiordland of the South Island, there's an adventure tucked away in every corner of this impressive country. Consider living out your own Lord of the Rings adventure in Hobbiton, or hike past Mt. Doom in Tongariro National Park. Not thrilling enough? Then skydive over Auckland, go white water rafting down Kaituna River or take a leap of faith and bungee jump in Queenstown! When you're in New Zealand, nearly ever adventure is only a stone's throw away. Make the most out of your visit to this remote island nation by assembling your bucket list with our travel guide. Booking a tour will ensure your trip is fun, flawless and stress-free: http://www.tourradar.com/d/new-zealand New Zealand boasts a temperate climate with plenty of sunshine and moderate rainfall. Because of the long coast line, you can expect mild temperatures for the most part. The average temperature decreases as you travel south; January and February are the warmest months with July being the coldest month of the year. Remember to pack your waterproof hiking boots, waterproof rain jacket, swimsuit, flip flops, thin gloves, hiking socks, sunglasses, and a camera with extra batteries. New Zealand's currency is the New Zealand Dollar (NZ$). You should expect to be able to switch between cash and cards quite seamlessly, as all major credit cards can be used in New Zealand. Alcohol and restaurant meals can range from moderate to quite expensive so prepare yourself accordingly. We'd like to thank New Zealand's incredible tourism board for allowing use of their travel footage: http://www.newzealand.com/ ---About New Zealand--- New Zealand, exists on a remote island in the Pacific Ocean and is home to over 4.6 million people, and nearly 30 million sheep. The country is divided into two portions: the North and South Islands separated by the Cook Strait. The North Island is home to many hot springs and geysers while the South Island is mountainous, forested and covered in glaciers. Over 75% of New Zealanders call the North Island home, and more than 15% of New Zealand's energy comes from renewable resources. So many of my memories are of watching movies about the city, and now that I'm here I'd love to show you all the best places to go and things to do in Manhattan during this holly jolly time. New York is magical during the Holidays! Here are my favorite things to do in the city at Christmas time... 1. Rockefeller Center This is one of the most crowded areas in NYC at this time. Try to come early or late and avoid the crowd! 2. Sacks Fifth Avenue Light Show Right across the street from the Rockefeller tree is Sacks Fifth Avenue. Their holiday light show gets better every year so don't miss it! 3. Holiday Window Displays Start at the bottom of Central Park and walk down admiring the incredible Holiday Window Displays at some of New York's most famous stores: Barneys - 660 Madison Avenue between 60th and 61st Streets Bloomingdale's - 59th Street and Lexington Avenue Bergdorf Goodman - 754 Fifth Avenue at 58th Street Tiffany & Co - 727 Fifth Avenue between 56th and 57th Streets Cartier - 653 Fifth Avenue at 52nd Street Saks Fifth Avenue - 611 Fifth Avenue between 49th and 50th Streets Lord Lord & Taylor - 424 Fifth Avenue at 39th Street Macy's - Sixth Avenue and 34th Street 4. Macy's Believe Campaign Believers of all ages can bring their stamped letter to Macy’s addressed to 'Santa at The North Pole', and drop it into the special letterbox. You can also create and send a letter online at macys.com/believe. For each letter received, Macy’s will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish, up to $1,000,000! Also, if you're looking to shop at Macy's. For the three days leading up to Christmas it is open 24 hours and it's nearly empty if you go late or early. It's almost unheard of to shop in a store that's not crowded at Christmas time in New York - so take advantage of it! 5. Holiday Markets New York's Holiday Markets are the perfect place to find a unique gift. With hundreds of vendors between all of the markets - you are sure to find something for everyone on your list. Some of the biggest markets are at Union Square, Columbus Circle and Grand Central Station. 6. Ice Skating Ice Skating in New York is a Christmas tradition! The best and most iconic ice skating rinks are at Rockefeller Center, Bryant Park and Central Park. 7. Explore! The best thing about New York is that you can walk everywhere. Take 'wrong' turns and see what magic you find. Little Italy is one of my favorite areas to go at this time of year. 8. Rooftop Bars Rooftop Bars are a must in New York any time of year. But don't be discouraged by the cold! A nice warm drink and some heat lamps make them a great winter activity - and a perfect date idea! Some of my favorites are 230 Fifth (location in the video), The Ides, Hudson Hotel and Refinery Rooftop. Enjoy your time in New York City! Try not to spend too much time shopping - there is so much magic to be seen in one of the most iconic places to be this time of year :) COME SAY HI :) Instagram - http://instagram.com/rayawashere Twitter - https://twitter.com/rayawashere Tumblr - http://raya-was-here.tumblr.com/ Snapchat - RayaWasHere

http://www.expedia.com/Niagara-Falls.d6023515.Destination-Travel-Guides Niagara Falls has long been a symbol of natural power and beauty. Visit this hallmark of Canadian and American tourism and see its majesty from a helicopter, boat, or walkway. Your Niagara Falls tour begins with a little bit of information: more than six million cubic feet of water spill over the sides per minute. You can explore three waterfalls, the most famous being the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, which are the widest and most powerful. Take a half-hour boat cruise and bask in the falls’ mist, or enter a special set of walkways behind the falls and see the strength and might of the rushing water right in front of you. No Niagara Falls sightseeing trip is complete without exploring the Botanical Gardens or Niagara on the Lake. The latter attraction offers boutiques, eateries, and picturesque views of the water you won’t soon forget.
