Along the streets cabs hunt for customers. The lung of the city is Central Park, the paradise of joggers and dog owners. The Wall Street is the center of the world of money, while the Broadway is the same for Arts. If you're coming to NYC for Christmas/The Holidays, this is a good guide for things to do for 2016. Here's the list: 1. Godiva for hot chocolate or coffee cause "baby, it's cold outside." 2. Rockefeller Center (but avoid Top of the Rock -- too cold, too busy) for ice skating and tree selfies. 3. The Nintendo Store. Good gifts, but also a nice hideout from the cold 4. Saks Fifth Avenue -- windows and light show 5. Bryant Park's #WinterVillage - Check out the shops, more ice skating, Facebook has an installation, and it's less busy than 30 Rock. 6. Macy's! Go write Santa a letter and play on the big piano! I've lived in New York for nearly 5 years, and I still get super excited about Christmas here vs. basically anywhere else on the planet. The Meatpacking District was once home to markets, slaughterhouses, and packaging plants, but times have changed. Today you'll find a mixture of trendy restaurants, clubs and boutiques. The Village used to be a bohemian neighborhood that drew artists and musicians, but today you're more likely to find upper middle class families living here. Completed in 1883, Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. Williamsburg has become popular given its lower rent prices. University students and young professionals have been flocking to this part of town. You can walk along the riverfront for a great view of the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges and the Manhattan skyline. During the summer months, Bryant Park also becomes a popular hangout spot people looking to relax and even work on their tans. The Staten Island Ferry is free of charge and this makes it really popular with visitors who want to catch a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty from a distance. Battery Park is located on the southern tip of Manhattan. Having both lived in South Korea, we were thrilled to come across Manhattan's own Little Korea. Coney Island is all about good old fashioned fun. The Cloisters will make you feel like you've travelled over to Europe. Central Park is massive and there are so many places to visit within its boundaries. We managed to visit Belvedere Castle, the Great Lawn, Shakespeare Garden, The Ramble, The Jackie Onassis Reservoir, the Alice in Wonderland Statue, and we still left feeling like we barely scratched the surface. And that concludes a look at our very busy week in New York City. I'm still shocked we managed to cover so many attractions, but the great thing about this city is that distances aren't very long and there's always something really cool worth checking out around each corner. Here are some Things to do in NYC :) This 1st of a "Things to do in NYC" is the BASICS. I will do more in depth videos on neighborhoods like Harlem, Brooklyn, Lower East Side which will include shopping, entertainment, eating, all that :) But for now I hope you find this helpful and excited about exploring NYC. I didn't "forget" to list anything. This is just the first video and trust their are a million things to do. Sorry for not including Brooklyn. I rarely go out there and didn't have footage to include in this video. But here goes! As for the things I listed check them out here: Statue of Liberty, is located on Ellis Island. It's since been reopened http://www.statuecruises.com/choose_tickets.aspx Central Park is cliche and a MUST! Check out the Boat House this summer and rent a paddle boat for $12/hr. Cash only and a $20 deposit is required http://www.thecentralparkboathouse.com Magnolia Bakery has an amazing to die for Banana Pudding that used to be so secret which is now another MUST HAVE while in town http://www.magnoliabakery.com Katz Deli is a historical landmark that happens to be famous for their sandwiches. Try the pastrami if you're into that...I'm not :/ Yes this is a tourist destination but it's a part of NYC's history hence a MUST! http://katzsdelicatessen.com Patricia Field is a NYC fashion fixture! Made famous for her costume designing in The Devil Wears Prada and Sex and the City: the Movie and sequel, her boutique is another MUST. I love playing dressup here and splurging on accessories! http://www.patriciafield.com Need to get around? Rent a bike! I have yet to try this but it seems fabulous! Save your feet and cover more ground. These bikes and bike spots are all over the city. A perfect way to burn calories and see more of the city faster. http://citibikenyc.com Caracas! This happens to be a fav spot of mine! It's uber small and the lines can be long but I love the food. Yes it's fried and oh so good! I've never had an Arepa until I came here and the prices are perfect for us budget minded peeps Try it! just read their yelp reviews! http://www.yelp.com/biz/caracas-arepa-bar-new-york http://www.caracasarepabar.com Summer in NYC isn't really summer until you get your butt on a rooftop. My pick was Jimmy Rooftop. Sunday's after 3pm are bomb! Amazing music courtesy of DJ Cato. I believe it is doorman discretion, which means, dress your best and don't travel with a bunch of dudes. You get an amazing view of the sun setting over the Hudson River and you get to splash around in the pool if you so choose. I chose this spot because I used to work here and loved it! http://www.jameshotels.com/new-york/eat-drink/jimmy/ Yes! Go to Church! After you party it up Saturday night or Sunday afternoon bring your sinful behind to this awesome church! You don't have to be religious to attend. This is a non-denominal church and people from all over the world come here for the amazing sermons and not to mention the interior. This Church is a converted theatre and a must see. Now go and pray! http://www.tscnyc.org My spot! We in my hood now. You MUST go to Orange Beauty Supply! I used to buy all my hair products here when I had hair and you def need to buy a wig here. I take all my gurls here and hook them up with a fabulous synthetic or human hair wig just cause! Apollo!!! You MUST go here on amateur night! It's historical! You either boo or cheer for the talent on stage. You must have an opinion! Quiet indifference is not tolerated :) A real life YouTube comment board in live action! I've been here countless times and it's a great way to get the energy up! http://www.apollotheater.org --------------------------------- WATCH THESE VIDEOS: Meet my Mom: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hS-VVNWuOFE What is Fear? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XViZu61CyAw --------------------------------- Follow me: http://facebook.com/shamelessmaya http://shamelessmaya.com http://twitter.com/mayasworld instagram @mayasworld http://shamelessmaya.tumblr.com --------------------------------- Dope beats by: Jay Ellyiot http://jayellyiotmusic.com http://jayellyiot.tumblr.com https://soundcloud.com/jayellyiot https://www.facebook.com/JayEllyiot --------------------------------- Filmed and edited by your Shamelessness :) Geek Info: http://astore.amazon.com/shamelessmaya-20 camera: Canon 7D audio: H4n Zoom Mic lighting: Ring light editing: Final Cut Pro X things to do in NYC, tourism NYC, nyc spots

Vacation travel video about destination New York City in New York. New York continues to be one of the world’s most famous cities, a true world metropolis and major symbol of the American Dream. Manhattan Island is the city’s most well known district and the Rockefeller Center in Midtown is often referred to as the heart of the New York. Nearby the Roman Catholic Saint Patrick´s Cathedral is the largest and most magnificent church in the United States. The Grand Central Terminal divides Park Avenue and is a huge station with which the railroad kings, the Venderbilts, left an indelible mark. The huge hall, with its magnificent vaulted ceiling in Beaux Arts style, has been the city’s central railway station for twelve lines since 1913. The confines of Chinatown are inhabited by a hundred and fifty thousand Chinese from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, most of whom are unable to speak a word of English. Chinese characters wherever one looks and restaurants and Asian stores on every street corner. The famous Wall Street was named after a wall which in the early days protected the growing city against attack by Native American Indians. However, the roots of its subsequent claim to fame were laid in 1792. The young state desperately needed investment and therefore the powers that be decided to issue bonds. Close by, on a small island, is New York’s most famous landmark, the Statue Of Liberty. The head of Lady Liberty leads to the crown from which there are stunning views from several windows. New York City is most certainly unique. A city that’s very much alive and kicking, self-confident and always a surprise! -------------- Watch more travel videos ► http://goo.gl/HYQdhg Join us. http://bookinghunter.com New York is the most populous city in the United States and the center of the New York Metropolitan Area, one of the most populous urban agglomerations in the world. The most important places to visit in New York are: Brooklyn Bridge (built in 1883, it is one of the oldest suspension bridges in America and continues to inspire the people of New York City), Wall Street (the bull here makes everyone happy. See where billions are won or lost in seconds), Central Park (one of the world's greatest urban parks. Get involved in an outdoor activity or watch New Yorkers go about their exercise routines), Empire State Building (an American icon, which was built remarkably during the Great Depression. Ride to the top for unmatched city views), Times Square (best experienced at night. First time visitors are simply in awe amidst the bright neon lights), Statue of Liberty (this is one landmark you must visit. The ultimate symbol of New York City). If you want to save time and money, the most important New York travel tip is to compare prices before booking a hotel room or a flight. You can do this for free on http://bookinghunter.com, a site that searches through hundreds of other travel websites in real time for the best travel deals available.

✱ 2.087 Hotels in New York - Lowest Price Guarantee ► http://goo.gl/o3ZkCp New York, the Big Apple for the locals, is the largest city of the United States. Its most famous sight is the monumental Statue of Liberty, but there are the famous skyscrapers like the Empire State Building or the Rockefeller Center, while the twin towers of the World trade Center are sadly missed. Along the streets cabs hunt for customers. The lung of the city is Central Park, the paradise of joggers and dog owners. The Wall Street is the center of the world of money, while the Broadway is the same for Arts. Famous theatres, museums, the cafes and clubs of Greenwich Village and the renewed places of the old docks await the visitors here.

Thumbs up if you enjoyed this video! Hi friends, for christmas 2016, I decided to share with you my favorite spots to visit in NYC during Christmas because its super festive here during this time of year and it could come in handy if you travel here, there are so many beautiful places in manhattan to see during Christmas but I wanted to keep this video nice and short so I narrowed it down to these must see places, I chose ice skating in central park, I love central park and its so beautiful skating there especially at night, browsing around 5th avenue high end shops like tiffany’s, Cartier, Harry Winston, bergdorf goodman, saks fifth avenue etc I also walked around the plaza hotel and i think that area is beautiful during Christmas also and its really associated with christmas to me because of home alone 2, next stop was bryant park, they have a beautiful tree, free ice skating and the bank of america winter village which is a lot of different shops with all kinds of cute items and food and I grabbed some hot chocolate here at the public fare, and next went to union square market which I absolutely love and grabbed some hot apple cider, and here you also locally made items like candles, jewlery, gourmet foods etc and to eat lunch I stopped at by chloe’s which is an amazing vegan fast food place, I had a green juice, a delicious guacamole burger, their chili soup and their air baked fries, and it was amazing and of course you can not mention Christmas in New York without visiting the Rockefeller center and the christmas tree there and the saks fifth avenue light show, it was soooo beautiful this year, it never fails to make me feel the magic of Christmas in nyc, the energy, the decorations, the Rockefeller skating ring, the beautiful flags, just beyond beautiful and so worth freezing in the cold for lol, I hope you guys enjoyed this video and if you did please give it a thumbs up and leave me a comment if you wanna see more nyc guides in my channel. So many of my memories are of watching movies about the city, and now that I'm here I'd love to show you all the best places to go and things to do in Manhattan during this holly jolly time. New York is magical during the Holidays! Here are my favorite things to do in the city at Christmas time... 1. Rockefeller Center This is one of the most crowded areas in NYC at this time. Try to come early or late and avoid the crowd! 2. Sacks Fifth Avenue Light Show Right across the street from the Rockefeller tree is Sacks Fifth Avenue. Their holiday light show gets better every year so don't miss it! 3. Holiday Window Displays Start at the bottom of Central Park and walk down admiring the incredible Holiday Window Displays at some of New York's most famous stores: Barneys - 660 Madison Avenue between 60th and 61st Streets Bloomingdale's - 59th Street and Lexington Avenue Bergdorf Goodman - 754 Fifth Avenue at 58th Street Tiffany & Co - 727 Fifth Avenue between 56th and 57th Streets Cartier - 653 Fifth Avenue at 52nd Street Saks Fifth Avenue - 611 Fifth Avenue between 49th and 50th Streets Lord Lord & Taylor - 424 Fifth Avenue at 39th Street Macy's - Sixth Avenue and 34th Street 4. Macy's Believe Campaign Believers of all ages can bring their stamped letter to Macy’s addressed to 'Santa at The North Pole', and drop it into the special letterbox. You can also create and send a letter online at macys.com/believe. For each letter received, Macy’s will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish, up to $1,000,000! Also, if you're looking to shop at Macy's. For the three days leading up to Christmas it is open 24 hours and it's nearly empty if you go late or early. It's almost unheard of to shop in a store that's not crowded at Christmas time in New York - so take advantage of it! 5. Holiday Markets New York's Holiday Markets are the perfect place to find a unique gift. With hundreds of vendors between all of the markets - you are sure to find something for everyone on your list. Some of the biggest markets are at Union Square, Columbus Circle and Grand Central Station. 6. Ice Skating Ice Skating in New York is a Christmas tradition! The best and most iconic ice skating rinks are at Rockefeller Center, Bryant Park and Central Park. 7. Explore! The best thing about New York is that you can walk everywhere. Take 'wrong' turns and see what magic you find. Little Italy is one of my favorite areas to go at this time of year. 8. Rooftop Bars Rooftop Bars are a must in New York any time of year. But don't be discouraged by the cold! A nice warm drink and some heat lamps make them a great winter activity - and a perfect date idea! Some of my favorites are 230 Fifth (location in the video), The Ides, Hudson Hotel and Refinery Rooftop. Enjoy your time in New York City! Try not to spend too much time shopping - there is so much magic to be seen in one of the most iconic places to be this time of year :) COME SAY HI :) Instagram - http://instagram.com/rayawashere Twitter - https://twitter.com/rayawashere Tumblr - http://raya-was-here.tumblr.com/ Snapchat - RayaWasHere

http://www.expedia.com/Central-Park-New-York-and-vicinity.d6056463.Vacation-Attraction New York City’s Central Park, which is made up of lakes, gardens, and meadows, spans more than 50 blocks. It was originally envisioned as a space where anyone – no matter what their station in life – could meditate and interact. These days, America’s most famous urban center hosts over 30 million visitors per year. You’ll find a multitude of things to do if you’re sightseeing in Central Park. Sit down for a picnic on the Great Lawn, or wander through the park’s bridges and pathways, looking for its many sculptures. If you know where to look, you’ll find Hans Christian Andersen and Balto the sled dog. Traveling with a loved one? Why not share a kiss at the Bethesda Fountain and Terrace? Alternatively, you can rent a boat from Loeb Boathouse and attempt to impress your sweetheart with a trip around the lake. If you’re a fan of Shakespeare’s plays, your Central Park tour must pause at the Shakespeare Garden, which features the flora and fauna mentioned in his works. Beatles fans, don’t forget to pay homage at the Strawberry Fields Memorial, a 2.5-acre section of the park dedicated to the memory of John Lennon. It’s safe to say that there’s something in Central Park for just about everyone. Whether you’re sending a remote-controlled boat across the Conservatory Waters or admiring the view from Belvedere Castle, you’ll find a number of wonderful ways to spend your day. What’s your favorite part of Central Park?
